4 Tips To Confidently Wearing Jewelry To The Office

Blog

It's easy to dress for a night out, but it isn't as easy to dress for work. This is particularly true when you are trying to throw jewelry into the mix. Jewelry has the ability to make or break your office outfit. Long gone are the days when women were not allowed to accessorize at work. So, to confidently improve your look at the office, here are four tips:

Tip #1: Before Leaving Home, Take Off One Piece of Jewelry.

When you are home putting on your jewelry, you may feel that you are accessorizing too much for the office. So, it is a good idea to remove one piece before you head out. If you work in a relatively conservative environment, you may want to opt for either earrings or a necklace rather than wearing both of them. Bracelets are always a good option as well.

Tip #2: Improve Your Mood with Rings.

If you work in an environment where you are typing all day, you should consider purchasing rings that will help to brighten your mood. Consider buying bright statement rings (and only wear one at a time), such as turquoise. If you don't want to go big and bold, you can opt for more subtle and dainty rings, which will allow you to wear a few more at a time. Just make sure that they fit your personality and will keep left your spirits throughout the day when you look down at them.

Tip #3: Opt for a Single Bold Piece.

You can easily avoid going overboard by using one statement piece, such a bold cuff or bib necklace. This can really take your outfit a level up. Since statement pieces are more expensive, which makes them bit of an investment, you can often find pieces that you can purchase that will match a number of your outfits - such as those in gold or silver without minimal to no coloring. Of course, you can find budget statement pieces if you are willing to shop around.

Tip #4: If You Choose One Piece of Jewelry, Choose Earrings.

Because people look at your face when they talk to you, earrings are the choice of accessory when you only want to wear one piece. They also maintain an effortless look. Opt for statement earrings or oversized studs, as these types of earrings are polished and classy. You should look for timeless, yet subtle earrings that have a just a pop of color.

Caring For Your Jewelry

After my wife inherited a bunch of high-end jewelry from her mother, she started wearing it daily to work and special events. Unfortunately, after only a few uses we realized that she didn't know that much about caring for jewelry, and some of the pieces started to tarnish. She worked hard to learn what types of care each piece needed, and things started to improve. My website is made for people who might be new to caring for high-end jewelry. Check out these pages to learn how to keep your silver, gold, and precious gems gleaming for years and years.
